Sorpresa al parlament japonès, ahir es va elegir el substitut de Naoto Kan com a primer ministre japonès, el sisè en els darrers cinc anys...d'això se'n diu estabilitat política! Hi havia 5 candidats del partit DPJ amb dos favorits Maehara san (exteriors, jove, opció renovadora ) i Kaiera san (economia, opció abanderada per l'ala dura i presumptament corrupta). Al final però l'elegit va ser Noda san (finances), que pel que he llegit a la premsa ha agafat bastant per sorpresa. Ahir vaig estar fent treball de camp per saber la reacció / opinió dels col.legues japonesos...el canvi de PM no és una cosa menor! Doncs us podeu creure que el 100% no n'estava al cas? em van dir que la política no els interessava massa/gens...aah una altra diferència amb un servidor, val a dir que els participants eren bastant joves però també cert que generalment no tinc la sensació que la política sigui un tema de gaire interès social...en fi en tot cas el Sr.Noda tindrà un gran repte per endavant, en un país sotmès en crisi econòmica, amb la crisi nuclear i energètica i sobretot amb la reconstrucció de l'àrea devastada pel tsunami. D'entrada ell ja ha dit que serà atrevit i no s'arrugarà i ha anunciat que apujarà els impostos, comença fort.

Surprise at the Japanese parliament. Yesterday the substitute of Naoto Kan as PM was elected, the sixth in 5years...this is what we mean by political stability!! There was 5 candidates from the DPJ party with two clear favorites by the media, Maehara san (foreign, young man representing the renovation) and Kaiera san (economy, supported by a strong group in the party with corruption affairs). However, at the end the elected was Noda san (finances), and this from what I read in the news seemed to be a surprise. So, I've doing a bit of working field asking my colleagues their opinion on this...a new PM is not something we see everyday!! Could you believe that 100% of the answers were not following this subject at all and told me they have little or no interest on it! A new cultural difference with myself, true that my participants were quite young but my general feeling here in Japan is that there is not much interest for politics in the society...anyway Mr. Noda has a huge challenge ahead, a country immerse in economic crisis, nuclear and energetic crisis and above all with the rebuilding of the devastated area by the tsunami. To start with, he said he is going to be courageous and take the right decisions and already said is going to rise tax. A good start.
