La conveniència amb K! - Convenience with K!

Viure a Tokyo és molt fàcil i confortable. Aquesta és la conclusió que molts arribem després de passar un temps per aquí i una de les principals raons d'això són els famosos Kombinis (de l'anglès convenience), botigues de conveniència a l'estil els pakistanesos de Barcelona un pèl més professional. Són petites botigues de menys de 100m2 que es troben per tot arreu, perquè us en feu una idea de casa meva a l'estació (uns 500m) n'hi ha 6, fins i tot de la mateixa companyia!! Tenen una presència tan important què moltes d'elles són capdavanteres en el mercat de la distribució japonès. A part de l'abudància (potser massa?) el que destaquen aquestes botigues és per la multitud de serveis, gairebé totes obren 24h (sabeu què és fer les compres a les 02am?!!), un assortit clavat a les necessitats bàsiques (menjar preparat fred, calent, deshidratat,...), alcohol, tabac, cosmètica o revistes. Però hi ha més, totes tenen caixers automàtics i màquines per treure tot tipus d'entrades (rotllo servicaixa), servei de tintoreria o, no us ho perdeu, als Kombinis també és on paguem les factures mensuals!! En fi un negoci realment fet a mida per aquesta ciutat que sembla no dormir mai.


Life in Tokyo is very easy and comfortable. This is the conclusion that most of us get after spending some time in this city and certainly one of the reasons of this are the famous Kombinis (from convenience in English), tiny convenience stores of less than 100m2 that you can find everywhere, just as an example think that from home to the station (about 500m) there are 6, even from the same company!! They are so important in the country that some of these companies are at the forefront of the retalier market in Japan. Besides the abundance (maybe too many?) these shops standsout for the capacity of gathering plenty of different services, almost all of them open 24h (do you know what is to do shopping at 02am?!!), a perfect selection of products (cold  or hot prepared food, dehydrated food...) alcohol, tobacco, make-up or magazines. But there is more, they all have ATM or machines for all type of tickets (sports, movies, concerts...), dry-cleaner´s or even, in the Kombinis is where we payed our monthly bills!! So basically this is a business that suits perfectly to a city that seems to ever sleep.
