La passió pels cirerers! - Cherry trees' passion!

per fi ha arribat de nou l'època del "hanami", és a dir l'època dels cirerers florits!! aquell periode de l'any on està socialment acceptat ajuntar-te amb família i/o amics al voltant d'aquests arbres i en molts casos beure fins a rebentar...però bé aquest tema el reservaré per una altra entrada. Avui em centro en l'aspecte més emocional d'aquest esdeveniment que us ben asseguro és tota una bogeria tot el que desferma per aquí. La setmana passada alguns cirerers ja van començar a despuntar però no ha estat fins aquest cap de setmana que s´ha pogut veure un afloriment generalitzat, és espectacular veure com en qüestió de dies pot canviar tant i de fet diuen que és en l'efimeresa d'aquest fènomen on rau la clau de la seva popularitat, ja que tot plegat dura poc més de dues setmanes. El resultat de l'afloriment ja és ben sabut , una imatge de colors increible però també una proba a la teva paciència i a les aglomeracions! Hanami literalment vol dir "mirar flors" i això és el que tot Tokyo ha decidit fer aquest cap de setmana, sense anar més lluny al costat de casa hi ha el riu (-et) Meguro, un lloc encantador que la major part de l'any destaca per la seva calma i tranquilitat a excepció d'aquesta època que hi ha més gent que a les Rambles de Barcelona!

at last we finally have again the "hanami" season, meaning the cherry blossom period!! this period of the year where it is socially acceptable to gather with friends and/or family around these trees and in many cases to drink one's fill...but well I keep this subject for another post. Today I want to focus on rather the emotional aspect of this phenomena which I tell you is a complete madness! Last week some cherry trees started blooming but it hasn't been till this weekend that there was a general blooming, it's amazing to see how in just a matter of days everything can change so much, and in fact I've read/heard that is in the ephemeral of the phenomena where it lays its popularity, in a couple of weeks the whole process is done. Indeed with cherry blossom there are gorgeous images although it is also a test of you patience! Hanami means literally "to look at flowers" and this is what all Tokyo decided to do this weekend, for instance not far from my place, along the beautiful Meguro river, a place which usually is well-known for its quietness and calmness but not this period where you have more people than ever!
