la capella - the chapel |

At the end of the ceremony there was a cocktail reception before moving ot the dinner. At this time, guests take the opportunity to give the wedding present which here in Japan is always money, but you don't give them any which way. Usually I was told there is already a reference quantity to give and you put the money in special envelopes for weddings, the bills must be new and in an odd number. Finally you write your name in front and give it.

After the banquet, everyone thanked the parents and the couple for their invitation and the lovely ceremony and here another characteristics from Japan, you as a guest also receive a wedding present from their side (!!). Then all the friends moved to another room to start the second party with the presence of other friends that also joined. Here again, more yummy food and drinks (I think I had never drunk so many different nihonshu -sake-) , all these in a more informal atmosphere. Here as well, there was some speeches, images, and photos
