després de passar uns dies excel.lents a Beijing, val a dir que gastronòmicamente paga la pena també...la varietat gastronòmica va molt més enllà del típic arròs tres delícies/primavera que ens tenen acostumats als restaurants xinesos d’Europa, varietat d’ingredients, sabors i com en tots els altres aspectes de Beijing una gran varietat a nivell de preus també, aquests dies he menjat des de 18RMB a 400RMB. Així doncs he pogut fer un petit tastet d’algunes de les opcions culinàries que ofereix la ciutat amb plats típics de Beijing com el famós “ànec pequinès”, que va complir amb les expectatives generades i us el recomano de totes totes (restaurant Liqun-Lonelyplanet) o la refinada cuina de Sichuan, una delícia al paladar...per cert en contra del que pensava el menjar xino és bastant picant! També he aprofitat per menjar en llocs particulars, d’aquells que anomenariem “antros” no aptes per estómacs delícats ;-), a destacar el que vaig anar l’última nit, tot ple de locals que quan vaig entrar se’t queden mirant amb la cara aquella de “i aquest, què hi fot aquí?”...però bé, molt simpàtics i el menjar autèntic, em vaig emportar una sorpresa en forma de “pesunyes” de pollastre al mig del potatge però per la resta prou bo...
After having an excellent time in Beijing, I must say that its cuisine is also worthwile...the gastronomic variety goes far beyond the typical fried rice that we are used to from the chinese restaurants in Europe, so variety of ingredients, flavours and as in many other aspects of Beijing, a huge variety in prices as well, these days I ate from 18RMB to 400RMB!. Hence, I’ve got the opportunity to try a bit of their culinary specialities with some dishes from Beijing, like the famous “Pekin duck”, which succeed in my expectations and I highly recommend (Liqun restaurant-Lonelyplanet) or the finest cuisine from Sichuan, a delight for the taste...btw, against to what I thought the Chinese cuisine is quite spicy! I’ve also taken the opportunity to eat in real local places, some wouldn’t be suitable for those with “delicate stomach”, to highlight the last one I went, a tiny place full of chinese that when I entered they all looked at me like wondering “what the hell is he doing here?”...at the end however they were very friendly and the food really authentic, I got a surprise in form of chicken hoof in my dish but for the rest was quite tasty...
