Niseko, a esquiar! - Niseko, go skiing!

Aquest cap de setmana he pogut fer realitat un dels petits gran somnis que tenia al Japó...anar a esquiar a Niseko!!! Es tracta d'una estació d'esquí ubicada a Hokkaido, l'illa que hi ha al nord del país i on d'on es diu que hi ha una de les millors neus pols del planeta...i vista l'experiència val a dir que la llegenda era real, quina passada de cap de setmana! amb 3 amics vem aprofitar que el divendres era festa al Japó (celebració de la constitució) per fer un cap de setmana llarg d'esquí sense parar! L'indret és tot peculiar, el punt més alt que vem pujar van ser 1400 metres...però clar és que parteixes de 400 metres !! Us ho imagineu? a Manlleu estem a 600m! El tema és que la serralada està ubicada just a davant del mar del Japó i diuen que quan arriben els vents freds de Siberia i xoquen amb les muntanyes, precipiten en forma de neu, i quina neu...a cabassos i super lleugera, a més està ple d'arbres per tot arreu i el resultat final era im-pressionant! El lloc està ple d'Australians, com que no hi ha diferència horària tenen molta tirada cap aquí i us assseguro que des que estic aquí mai havia vist tants gaijins (estrangers) junts! Per sort nosaltres anàvem amb una amiga japonesa, l'Akane, que es va encarregar de tot i vem anar a parar en un petit hostal d'una parella japonesa molt acollidor. 


This last weekend one of my small big dreams of Japan came true...I went to ski to Niseko!!! This is a ski resort located in Hokkaido, the island at the north of the country and from where it is said to have one of the best powder snow of the planet...and based on my experience I must the legend was true, what a wonderful weekend! with 3 friends we took benefit of a public holiday on Friday (constitution day) to enjoy of a long-weekend of ski non-stop! The place is really special, the highest point is at 1400m...but you start at 400m! (for the Swiss just think Lausanne is at 600m!). The story is that the mountains are just in front of the sea of Japan en when the freezing winds from Siberia reach them, it turns into snow....lots of it and super light, in addition there are plenty of trees everywhere and the final result is really worthwile! The place is full of Australians, for them there is no time difference and so they go there, I've never seen before so many gaijins (foreigners) in the same place! Luckly we were with a Japanese friend, Akane, who took care of everything and ended up in a cozy lodge run by a very friendly Japanese couple.
