Beer-garden time!

Agost i ja tornem a tenir l'estiu de ple a Tokyo....havia oblidat la calor asfixiant que fot! Us ho juro, sabeu el que és sortir al matí de casa i el temps d'arribar a l'estació ja estiguis suant per tot arreu i patint que non vagis rotllo "Camacho"? i això a les 8am!! Doncs així cada dia ... però amb tot, una de les coses que no falten als estius toquioïtes són els anomenats "beer-garden" o el que vindria a ser els sopars "a la fresca" en terrasses o parcs...sí sí, quan m'ho van dir no m'ho creia i és que fins i tot de nit fot més calor a fora que dins de casa, però mira si és típic s'havia de probar i la veritat tampoc està malament i fins i tot he repetit. Aquesta setmana vaig estar amb uns amics al "beer-garden" de Roppongi, que és l'àrea on es concentren més estrangers per metre quadrat de Tokyo i com que era un dia entre setmana estava ple de "salarymen" (quedeu-vos amb el nom que un dia en parlaré més extansament). El concepte doncs, es ben simple i fins i tot "cutre", cervesa i més cervesa i entre mig una oferta de menjar amb coses molt poc japoneses :-)

August and we have the summer back again...I had forgotten this stifling heat!! I swear it, do you know what is getting out of home in the morning and the time to go to the station you are already sweating like hell?? and this at 8am!! and like this everyday...but yet, one of the summer essentials are the so called "beer-garden" or what's the same outdoors dinners in parks or terraces...yes, when I was told about them I couldn't believe it, who wants to go there? I tell you even at night the temperature is better inside than outside...but anyway if it is popular I had to try it and frankly the experience is not bad, up to the point I have repeated! This week I went with some friends at the "beer-garden" in Roppongi, which the area with the highest concentration of foreigners per square meter, and as it was a weekday the place was full of "salarymen" (remind this name as I gonna talk largely about them soon). The concept then is very simple even a bit tacky for Japanese standards, beer, beer and more beer and in between a range of food with plenty of dishes with little history in Japan ;-)
