Què pensarieu si algú us digués de fer una barbacoa al mes d'Octubre amb més de vint persones enmig d'una ciutat de 12M d'habitants?? Sona estrany no? Doncs això és ni més ni menys al que em van convidar el cap de setmana passat, "la última barbacoa de l'estiu al centre de Tokyo" em van dir. No del tot convençut hi vaig anar i resulta que a Odaiba, al costat de la badia, i hi ha un descampat tot ple de tendes rotllo índies, barbacoes i fins i tot hamaques! Tot molt japonès, organització perfecte i a excepció de la beguda tot estava inclòs en el preu, menjar, estris , carbonet...o sigui que vaig passar la tarda-vespre menjant carn a la brassa tot envoltat de la imponent megapolis. Només ens va faltar la música de Georgie Dann...
What would you think if someone tells you to do a BBQ in October with more than twenty people in the middle of a city of more than 12M inhabitants?? bizarre isn´t it? so this is exactly to what I was invited last weekend, ¨last BBQ of the summer at Tokyo downtown" they told me. Not very convinced I went there and suddenly I found myself in Odaiba, next to the bay, in a place full of tipi tents kind, barbecues and even hammocks! All very japanese, perfect organization, we only had to take care of our drinks, all the rest was included in the price, food, material, charcoal....so at the end I did spend my evening eating grilled meat with the astonishing landscape of Tokyo skyscrapers surrounding us!
