Ahir vaig anar a sopar amb alguns col.legues japonesos de la universitat, em van portar a un restaurant toriniku (carn de pollastre) a la zona de Ueno que és bastant conegut. El lloc guapíssim, restaurant japonès tipus izakaya amb tot de cartells kanjis envoltant les parets, molt animat i amb una olor a pollastre inconfundible! El menjar, bàsic però molt bo, tot a base de pollastre i com a curiositat per primera vegada al Japó, vaig menjar "pollastre a l'ast"!! Els col.legues japonesos flipant amb tot i cadascún dels plats sobretot amb el fetge (ells l'anomenen "white liva"), i evidentment tot va anar acompanyat de les respectives rondes de beguda...cervesa per aquí, shochu (sake fet a base de patata) per allà...en fi algún dia ja us parlaré amb més calma del tema de l'alcohol en aquest país. En definitiva el sopar molt entretingut, de fet tot sopar amb japoneses és garantia de diversió, i sobretot interessant l'evolució que pren el caire de les converses a mesura que avança el sopar...;-)

Yesterday I went dinner with some Japanese colleagues form the university, we went to a toriniku (chicken) restaurant in Ueno area which seems to be quite well-known. The place was very cool, an izakaya-type restaurant with full of kanji characters in the walls, very lively and with a distinctive chicken smell! The food was basic but tasty, all made of chicken and as a curiosity, for the first time in Japan I ate "roasted chicken"! My Japanese colleagues were amazed with each single dish and especially with the liver (they call it "white liva") and obviously everything was accompanied with the respective drinks...beer here, shochu (sake made of potato) there..., one day I will talk longer of the subject of alcohol in this country, it deserves it. So the dinner was very entertaining, actually any dinner with Japanese is guarantee of fun, and especially the evolution of the conversations all along the dinner ;-)
